FAQ
How much is it for the studio to come to me?
There is no fee for having the studio come to you. When making the decision to start up this studio, I wanted to make piercings more accessible. So even if you live remotely, or you work during the day, Happy Stabby Piercings can accomodate you.
Why the name Happy Stabby Piercings?
The short version, I think it's funny. The longer reasoning behind the name is it's a light hearted take on the job of body piercing. I'm one of the happiest piercers you'll ever meet, and I pride myself on clients leaving their appointments happy too. Also, "I stab people for a living." is a way to shake up small talk at parties ;)
Will the piercing hurt?
Generally there is some level of pain involved with piercings. We're making a new hole within the body, and our bodies don't want that. Skins job is to remain sealed to protect us, and pain receptors are throughout the skin and body to warn us of injury. There are numbing creams, such as EMLA, available through pharmacies. You can apply them before your appointment (make sure you get both the front and back of the area you'd like the piercing) as per their instructions and eliminate the pain aspect of piercing if you like. That being said, the pain of a piercing generally feels like a hard pinch, and only a few seconds. Once the jewelry is fitted you should find the pain fades quickly.
Here is a general guide to the pain scale of piercings. But remember, everyone is unique and experiences sensations differently.
